Guest Writer Guidelines:

All About Our Skin …Beauty, Conditions & Disorders is an informational site to educate others on the skin anatomy and conditions affecting our skin. Links to support groups and a blog about stress management are provided because this can make some conditions worse.

There are fun facts such as Celebrities Who Have Skin Conditions and Skin Awareness Calendar. I believe, especially with current world circumstances we need to help each other. We are not alone.

My blog audience is a diverse group of men and women mainly from the United States, followed by France, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany and India. The blog is intended to provide help for their skin conditions.

Who can write for Me?

Writers or professionals who submit quality content with some knowledge of skincare, having a background in medicine, beauty; dermatology, esthetician, makeup artist or cosmetic surgery, examples of professions.

Guest Writers will not be paid but you can gain exposure for your writing. If you also have a site you may provide a backlink. Provide bio along with a 150px by 150px of yourself and website address in contact message.

Types of Content Accepted

  • Not interested in native ads or sales pitches.
  • Do not accept press releases, porn, writing that is unprofessional or in bad taste.
  • Post should be skincare oriented to be considered. For inspiration check out site.
  • Post needs to be original for SEO and not contain any plagiarism.

My current schedule; post are published twice per week (Thursday & Sunday). I am looking to fill in rest of week. I will preapprove pitches.

Post Guidelines

  • Post length: post should be at least 1000 words. Please proofread before submitting.
  • Image requirements:  Particularly the header provided, that pertain to post.  This is a JPG file 600x400 picture goes across not up and down. Must be in good taste, no porn. Image sources must be provided no plagiarism.
  • Citing sources: research backup should contain a hyperlink within content. Check your facts and site sources if appropriate.
  • Guidelines on links: No-followed links may be used. Anchor text is allowed. Only reputable links are welcome. No links to advertising or anything in bad taste.
  • Metadata markup:  Should be put in brackets after the intended linking text.
  • Other requirements: Include subheadings of H2, at least a bullet point, and call to action at close of post. Information should be interesting, not just personal opinion, be original.

Submission Guidelines

Accepted formats: include post on Word docs.

Point of Submission: Use contact form to email all necessary information. Use the phrase “Skincare is Good” in subject line.

Headshot/byline: Provide a thumbnail pic of yourself along with a couple sentences pertaining to your writing style.

Important editing information: I reserve the right to approve the final blog post for publishing and any areas pertaining to this post.

Follow up step

  • Average review time: Once submitted the average time to review piece is two weeks.
  • How you will be notified: a follow up email will be sent with approval, questions, concerns and so on.
  • If a refusal: If you haven’t received an email by two weeks chances are you may not. Unfortunately, feedback is not possible with every submission.
